Stonyhill entertained Oyster for a friendly on Saturday May 12 when the home team were beaten by 132 – 112 points overall. Seven rinks were in play and Stonyhill won two, drew one and lost four.

At an after-match meal, Stonyhill summer chairman Stewart Cameron welcomed the visitors and said that he looked forward to the return game in Whitstable on June 30.

He presented pens to to players on Stonyhill’s top winning rink: Fred Faulkner (skip), Julia Crone, Dave Pigram and Beryl Robinson.

The return fixture will be played on eight rinks and priority will be given to Stonyhill players who played the home game. A coach will leave Stonyhill at 10am and is due to arrive back at around 9pm. Space permitting, non-bowlers will be welcome to join the outing.
